Turner to talk with T-Wolves
Rockets assistant Elston Turner will go from coaching the Rockets' summer-league team to interviewing to become head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the next few days in Las Vegas.

"I'm going to be interviewing sometime this week, in the next couple days," said Turner who was a candidate for the Phoenix Suns' position last offseason.

"They're a young team, obviously. With any young team, there needs to be a commitment to let it grow. For any coach accepted to be a part of that, it's attractive, especially if they include the coach in to be part of the growth and commit to it.

"We'll feel each other out and see if it's a fit."

Turner has been a Rockets assistant coach the past two seasons after six seasons with Rockets coach Rick Adelman with the Sacramento Kings.

Turner was an assistant at Portland and was known as a tenacious defender in eight seasons as an NBA player.
