ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Rafer Alston, Shooting guard Ron Artest, Small forward Shane Battier, Power forward Luis Scola, Center Yao Ming. Bench -- Forward Von Wafer, Forward Carl Landry, Guard Aaron Brooks, forward Chuck Hayes.

PLAYER NOTES:

--C Yao Ming bounced back from a performance so poor he said he had forgotten how to play. He scored 25 points on 9 of 14 shooting, adding 11 rebounds and keeping the Golden State frontcourt in constant foul trouble.

--G Ron Artest scored a game-high 27 points, making 10 of 17 shots, against Golden State. He grabbed seven rebounds, also getting his season highs of four 3-pointers and seven assists.

--G Aaron Brooks matched his career high with 22 points and set a career-high with nine assists, committing just two turnovers in 43 minutes. In a change in the usual Rockets rotation, Brooks manned the point for the entire fourth quarter.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Luther Head (sore right foot) is out.

--G Tracy McGrady (sprained left ankle) is day-to-day.
