PLAYER NOTES: --C Yao Ming took only seven shots, after he was held to just one shot in the second half the night before, but he made five of his shots, scoring 17 points with 11 rebounds and a season-high six blocked shots.
--G Ron Artest led the Rockets in scoring for a second-consecutive night, but was much more efficient in scoring 23 points against the Timberwolves than when he had 32 against the Bulls. After making just one of his last eight shots in the final 5-1/2 minutes in Chicago, Artest made 10-of-15 shots against the Timberwolves.
--G Aaron Brooks bounced back from a fourth quarter he called the worst of his life to score 22 points with a career-high 10 assists and with just one turnover in 38 minutes.
