Houston Rockets Notes, Quotes 2009-11-19

Houston Rockets Notes, Quotes 2009-11-19--G/F Tracy McGrady had called the Rockets' game at Minnesota on Wednesday his "target date" to make his season debut. He did not return to the court, but he did briefly return to uniform.

After his pregame workout, McGrady changed into his game uniform as if he was going to play, or at least move to the active list. Though the Rockets are dressing only 11 players, the roster for the evening had already been turned in, with McGrady remaining inactive.

Rockets coach Rick Adelman said again that there is no timetable for his return.

--F Shane Battier made 2-of-4 three-pointers to extend his streak of games with at least one trey to 24 games, the second-longest active streak in the NBA. Battier is making 35.8 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc this season, averaging 9.3 points per game.

"My wife and I, every day before I leave for the gym, she has said for our entire relationship (since high school), said 'Hit a 3 for me,'" Battier said. "Now it's 'hit a 3 for me and Z (their son, Zeke).' So I always try to get one for them."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I thought we were really sluggish in the first half especially. We turned it over. We had 14 turnovers at halftime. That's what we average (for an entire game). I just thought we just weren't into the game, so I was trying to push them. I told them, 'That team needs a win. Well, we do, too.'" -- head coach Rick Adelman.
